Avianca: New Colombia Connection

Avianca of Colombia have announced a new connection to their South American hub at Bogota Airport with direct flights from Barcelona and special prices for UK passengers using British Airways connections for their flights to Spain.

With prices starting from £645 including taxes for return flights from London (Heathrow or Gatwick), the new scheduled services leave Barcelona on Sundays and Thursdays, returning on Saturday and Wednesdays.

Agustin Arango - General Manager for Europe - said " We already have a daily scheduled service between Madrid and Bogota, which is well supported by the UK market, but these new flights have the advantage of an easier transit in the relaxed atmosphere at the smaller airport in Barcelona. We know that many passengers who used to use our services with a transit through Miami, now prefer to connect through a Spanish Airport, for the regular travellers Barcelona is proving a very popular alternative."
